Entering a license key

New and upgrade licenses for any Provance management pack are activated from the Administration workspace. When activating a management pack you have two options: activate in real-time over the Internet or activate through a license file. Organizations that do not permit external Internet connectivity will want to use a license file.

To enter a license key:

1. Go to the Administration workspace and expand the Administration > Provance Product Licensing view.

2. Click Add Provance Product License. The Product Activation wizard opens.

4. I want to activate the software over the Internet:Select this option if you have an open Internet connection and you wish to activate your license in real-time.

   I have a license file I want to install:Select this option if your organi­zation does not permit access to the Internet or web services. Use files of type *.bin.  

   I want to request a license file:Select this option to enter your activa­tion key and send it to Provance so you may receive a license file to acti­vate your software.  

5. Complete the remaining steps in the wizard to finish activating the man­agement pack.
